AMBLYcontrol TURBO grow bags to combat thrips

Amblyseius cucumeris 
AMBLYcontrol contains the predatory mite Amblyseius cucumeris of the family Phytoseiidae. A. cucumeris is probably the best known thrips predatory mite. The predatory mites run all over the plant and are always looking for food. Besides thrips A. cucumeris can also survive on pollen and can therefore be used preventively in pollen producing crops. Amblyseius cucumeris does no damage to the crop or flowers. The predatory mites mainly eat the first larval stage of thrips. In addition, they have a strong side effect on spider mites. Because of their short life cycle they can multiply quickly, their number is part of their strength.

AMBLYcontrol should be used in an early stage of pest development. The predatory mite can be used in many different crops where thrips occur.

Packaging
AMBLYcontrol TURBO is available as: 250 breeding bags of TURBO (minimum result of 1.000 predatory mites per bag). The contents of a sachet consists of various stages of Cucumeris predatory mites, feed mites and carrier (bran). In the bags there is continuous production of
Amblyseius cucumeris. Because of the TURBO formulation the predatory mites will leave the culture bag faster into the crop. This is often used when thrips are already present in the crop. The bags are provided with a hanging hook which makes it easy to introduce the predatory mites into the crop.

AMBLYcontrol can also be supplied as:
• 250 grow bags with hook (minimum result of 1,000 predatory mites per bag)
• 500 mini culture bags without hook (minimum result of 500 predatory mites per bag)
• In tubes of 50,000 (1 litre), 100,000 (5 litres) and 250,000 (5 litres) predatory mites as loose material (for spreading).

Instructions for use
Keep product cool until use. Allow the product to cool down to (greenhouse) temperature. Prevent too rapid an increase in temperature, this can lead to a temperature shock for the predatory mites. Open the box with the bags in the crop. Tear the bags apart along the perforations. Spread the culture bags as well as possible over the crop. Hang the bags in a place sheltered from the sun. Avoid contact with heating pipes and CO2 pipes. The degree of application always depends on the pest pressure in the crop, so ask the product specialist for the correct dosage.

Storage and transport
Upon receipt, check the product for discrepancies and report any complaints or comments within 24 hours. Preferably use the product immediately. If storage is required, the product should be stored horizontally and in a dark place in a ventilated room at a temperature of 15-18°C and an air humidity of 70-80% for a maximum of 24 hours. If the product is stored longer and/or under different conditions Royal Brinkman is not liable for any loss of quality.
